Privacy Policy
Last Updated: April 17, 2026
Inerday ("we", "us", "the App") is a personal day-tracking and journaling application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Inerday you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as:
- Account information (name, email) via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email magic link.
- Journal entries, gratitude notes, to-dos, and other content you create.
- Optional images you attach to entries.
- Calendar events from external providers you choose to connect (e.g. Google Calendar).
- Pet (Momo) interaction data such as conversation history and memory facts you share.
- Basic device information (iOS version, app version) for diagnostics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Inerday service.
- To generate AI-powered daily reports and companion (Momo) conversations.
- To sync your data across your own devices.
- To send you notifications (only with your permission).
- To analyze aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns to improve the App.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using Supabase (hosted on AWS in the United States). We use Postgres Row Level Security (RLS) so that each user can only access their own rows. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/SSL. Images are stored in access-controlled Supabase Storage buckets scoped to the owning user.
4. AI Processing
When generating daily reports and Momo conversations, the content of your entries and relevant memory facts is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic/Claude) via server-to-server request. This data is processed in real time and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the request/response lifecycle.
Neither Inerday nor our AI providers use your user content — including Google user data, journal entries, images, calendar events, or any other personal data — to train or improve generalized machine learning models.
5. Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In — authentication only.
- Apple Sign-In — authentication only.
- Google Calendar API (read-only) — to display your scheduled events alongside your journal entries (see Section 6).
- Microsoft / Outlook Calendar (optional) — read-only event display, if connected.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI features (daily report, companion chat).
6. Google API Services & Limited Use
6.1 Google Scopes We Request
email, profile, openid— used solely to identify your account and display your name and email inside the app.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly— read-only access to your Google Calendar events. We use this scope exclusively to display your scheduled events alongside your journal entries so that you can reflect on how you spent your day. We do not create, modify, or delete calendar events.
6.2 How We Handle Google Calendar Data
- Events are fetched on-demand when you open a specific date in Inerday.
- Events are cached briefly in your device's local storage for performance, and a minimal set of references (event id, start/end time) is stored in our Supabase database to associate events with your journal entries.
- Calendar event content is never shared with third parties except our infrastructure provider (Supabase/AWS) needed to deliver the service.
- Calendar data is never sold, rented, or used for advertising.
- Calendar data is never used to train or improve AI models.
6.3 Limited Use Commitments
Specifically, we affirm that data obtained through Google APIs (including Google Calendar data) will:
- Not be used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI / ML models.
- Not be transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features of Inerday, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets with notice to users.
- Not be used for advertising, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising.
- Not be sold to any third party.
- Be accessed only by humans with your affirmative agreement for specific use cases (e.g. user support with your explicit permission, or security investigations to comply with law).
6.4 Revoking Access
You can revoke Inerday's access to your Google data at any time by either:
- Opening Inerday → Me & Momo → Calendar Accounts and tapping Disconnect on a connected calendar, which also clears cached calendar data for your account; or
- Visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions and removing Inerday from the list of authorized apps.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only with:
- Service providers strictly necessary to operate the App (Supabase/AWS, Anthropic) under contractual obligations consistent with this policy.
- Law enforcement when required by a valid legal process.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from Me & Momo → Privacy Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing privacy@inerday.com. Upon deletion we will purge your data from our production systems within 30 days. Backups are rotated out within 90 days.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data.
- Export your data (available in-app).
- Correct or update your data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Opt out of non-essential data processing.
- Withdraw OAuth consent at any time (see Section 6.4).
10. Children's Privacy
Inerday is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Users
Inerday is operated from and data is processed in the United States. If you are using the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
